Mission Statement

MH2O Swimming Club is a non-profit club.  Our mission is to provide a stepping-stone from Learn to Swim into the world of competitive swimming, and to do so in a manner that fosters a lifelong love of the sport by providing enjoyable racing experiences in a fun, social setting.  The club encourages team and community spirit as well as developing leadership skills through its many activities.

MH2O Swimming Club

H2O Swimming Club has recently merged with the Melbourne Emperors Swimming CLub wich is based at the South Yarra Sports Complex at Melbourne High School.  The new entity has been renamed MH2O Swimming Club and we aim to become the premier club in the Stonnington District.

Most swimming competitions within Australia (with the exception of those conducted by schools) adhere to set guidelines and rules that operate world wide and are governed by State, National and International bodies.  The state body is called Swimming Victoria. MH2O Swimming Club is a Swimming Victoria affiliated club. Swimming Victoria comes under the auspices of Australian Swimming Inc., which is the governing body of competitive swimming in Australia. Australian Swimming Inc. is in turn under the umbrella of the world governing body F.I.N.A.

All swim meets conducted in Australia are run in accordance with the rules of FINA.

MH2O run a club night at the end of every school term. All club members as well as Masters and Advanced Learn To Swim swimmers are encouraged to compete. The format varies each term  and swimmers are encouraged to trynew events over different distances and strokes to gain valuable experience. There are usually fun events as well. The night ends with a barbeque and presentation of various awards such as swimmer of the term. This Club night is a great way for swimmers gain new times, break previous personal best times and socialise in a fun and friendly environment.

We have recently held our innaugural Club Championships at the superb Bialik Gringlas Sporting Complex

MH2O offers an array of social and swimming related activities. As well as barbeques, Christmas parties and discos, they have also conducted Aquathons, Swimathons and charity fundraisers in previous years. The club has also participated in an inter-club team competition called "Penant", under their former club name, Powerpoints Junior Swimming Club.
