How to Apply
Want to earn great money, in a great atmosphere and as part of a great team?
H2O are a successful and progressive Learn to Swim provider with over 30 years in the industry. H2O provides Learn to Swim and caters for all ages. We promote swimming as a sport for life and have pathways for swimmers to continue in our program indefinitely.
This has shaped our program and our philosophy in delivering lessons with outstanding methodology and a greater focus on technique than most.
Our attention to detail and our delivery, is what separates us from others.
H2O has been at Lauriston Girls' School in Armadale since 1989 on weekends only and then in 2008 started at the Swim Studio in Malvern East running After-School kids program and Adult Private lessons weekday mornings. In 2014 we were asked to takeover a small program at Geelong Grammar School (Corio Campus) before we were asked to startup a brand new larger dual-pool program at Kardinia International College at Bell Post Hill in mid 2016.
Late 2017 we were asked to take over a small weekend only program operating at an East Bentleigh Hydro-therapy and Caulfield Hospital Hydro-therapy Pool. In late 2018 we were asked to takeover the programs at St Catherine's School in Toorak for Learn to Swim and School Squads. In mid 2021 we were asked to takeover the Geelong Grammar School (Toorak Campus) program. However with the 2020/2021Covid Lockdowns, a number of our venues significantly delayed the return of external user groups which unfortunately meant H2O could not economically reopen.
If you are a motivated and energetic person with plenty of personality, great communication skills and a love of both children and swimming, we would like you to join our team of dedicated teachers. We require as a minimum, an Austswim or Swim Australia certificate.
A Current CPR Certificate and Working With Children's check is also necessary. All new recruits undergo in-house training which consists of mentored teaching assisted by our teaching supervisor, and all staff are expected to attend our staff workshops and updates. Further professional development is encouraged and we have a unique self paced learning system available to increase take-home pay.
Teachers with a background in competitive swimming and a possible interest in coaching are preferred but not essential. Reliability is highly valued along with flexibility, a willingness to learn and ability to take direction. While our teaching positions are casual, they could easily lead to more hours for the right person.
AUSTSWIM / Swim Australia / Life Saving Victoria practical teaching hours. H2O offers new teachers the opportunity to complete their supervised training hours which is a requirement in obtaining AUSTSWIM, Swim Australia or Life Saving Victoria qualification.
Our unique in-house training will fast track your skills and experience to become an outstanding teacher with a qualification that is highly regarded overseas. We are looking to employ for teachers now. Please apply below.
